The meeting was called to order at 7:00 p.m. 

Mayor Brad Schlossberger joined the meeting at 7:00 PM.
Councillor Kieth Carlson joined the meeting at 7:00 PM.
Councillor Mike Cutler joined the meeting at 7:00 PM.
Councillor Rod Kettles joined the meeting at 7:00 PM.
Councillor Kandice Meister joined the meeting at 7:00 PM.
Councillor Diana Ross joined the meeting at 7:00 PM.
Chief Administrative Officer Abe Tinney joined the meeting at 10:09 PM.
Karine Keys, Finance Assistant joined the meeting at 10:09 PM.

Moved by Councillor Meister for unanimous consent to add the following to the Agenda:

CORRES: Reeve Crystal Kissel, Rocky View County

RE: Fundraiser in Memorial for Colin Hough

Mayor Schlossberger declared the Public Hearing regarding Bylaw #1781 to be re-opened at 7:03 p.m.

Gavin Scott, Planner from the Oldman River Regional Services Commission presented Bylaw #1781, being the Evolution Area Structure Plan. Gavin went over the changes that have been made to the Bylaw after 1st Reading.

 

No formal submissions were received from the public.

 

The requested meeting by the Municipal District of Willow Creek of the Intermunicipal Development Plan Committee prior to 2nd Reading has taken place and they submitted a letter indicating that their concerns were addressed.

 

No other comments were received from the public regarding Bylaw #1781. No comments from members of Council were noted.

 

Mayor Schlossberger declared the Public Hearing closed at 7:06 p.m.

Moved by Councillor Cutler to amend Bylaw #1781 as presented prior to 2nd Reading.

Moved by Councillor Meister to give Bylaw #1781, the Evolution Area Structure Plan Bylaw, 2nd Reading.

Moved by Councillor Carlson to give Bylaw #1781, the Evolution Area Structure Plan Bylaw, 3rd & Final Reading.

Moved by Councillor Ross to give Bylaw #1788, the Unsightly Premises & Property Standards Bylaw, 1st Reading.  CARRIED

Moved by Councillor Kettles to give Bylaw #1789, a Land Use Bylaw Amendment, 1st Reading.  CARRIED

Moved by Councillor Cutler to send a letter of condolence to Rocky View County from the Town of Claresholm on the recent loss of their employee.

Moved by Councillor Carlson to allow the Wandering Willows Fundraising Society the use of two tents and eight barricades free of charge for their Annual Grandparents Day fundraiser on August 25, 2024.

    Moved by Councillor Kettles to forgive the property tax penalty on Roll #11635000 in the amount of $820.

Moved by Councillor Cutler to approve the creation of permanent part-time FCSS senior’s support position to begin after the Claresholm Coordinated Response to Elder Abuse Committee’s funding expires in late 2024.
